Why do QR codes from other generators expire?

Because they are dynamic: the code points to the generator's short link, which redirects to your content. When the trial ends, the redirect stops. Static codes have no middleman.

Can a static QR code ever stop working?

Only if the destination itself disappears — the website goes down or the WiFi password changes. The code is just a picture of the data.

What about your dynamic codes?
